In the Siya Goyal case, Pune police conducted a crime-scene reconstruction on 28 June by throwing a dummy of the victim off the fort, but then left the dummy abandoned in the gorge and no police or forensic member checked where it landed, meaning the investigation was not taken forward.

“28 जून को पुणे पुलिस पूरे धामझाम के साथ सिया को अपने साथ किले पर ले गई... वो डमी खाई में लावारिस पड़ी रही। पुणे पुलिस या फॉरेंसिक टीम का एक भी मेंबर यहां यह देखने नहीं आया कि डमी ट्रायल के दौरान यह डमी ऊंचाई से नीचे कहां गिरी।”
