The accused, a paint trader from Pune, acquired 50 kg of rat poison through his business, bought empty capsules online, and stayed 15 days in Mumbai's Dongri area filling them with poison to target Muharram participants.

“ये आरोपी महाराष्ट्र के पुणे का रहने वाला है और पुणे में यह पेंट का कारोबार करता है और इसी कारोबार की मदद से इसने चूहे मारने का 50 किलो जहर हासिल किया। इसके बाद इसने इंटरनेट से 300 खाली कैप्सूल्स खरीदे... डोंगरी में 15 दिन रहा और 15 दिन रहकर उसने इन खाली कैप्सूल्स में एक-एक करके जहर भरा।”
