According to the UP police investigation, Lavkush Mishra bought the land while working at the Ram Mandir; the registry showed its price as about ₹8.8 lakh though its market value is about ₹25 lakh, and there are eight accused in the case in total.

“यूपी पुलिस की जांच के मुताबिक लवकुश मिश्रा ने यह जमीन राम मंदिर में काम करने के दौरान ही खरीदी थी। रजिस्ट्री में इस जमीन की कीमत लगभग ₹8,80,000 दिखाई गई थी। लेकिन इस समय बाजार में इसकी कीमत लगभग ₹25 लाख है... इस मामले में कुल मिलाकर आठ आरोपी हैं।”
