The death toll of 'more than 170' matches the widely cited total of about 174–175 dead (166 victims plus nine attackers); if only victims are counted the figure is 166, a minor imprecision. The phrase 'Pakistan sent' reflects India's official attribution — the attackers were Pakistani nationals trained and dispatched by the Pakistan-based LeT, and Pakistan acknowledged the plot was partly hatched on its soil, though the Pakistani state denies official involvement.
