The UP government extended by 15 days the term of the SIT (formed 13 June) probing the Ram Mandir offering theft; eight people have been arrested and about 400 private security guards are now under investigation.

“उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने आज चढ़ावे की चोरी की जांच कर रही एसआईटी का कार्यकाल 15 दिनों के लिए और बढ़ा दिया है। 13 जून को जब इस एसआईटी का गठन हुआ था... सूत्रों के मुताबिक अब मंदिर की सुरक्षा व्यवस्था से जुड़े लगभग 400 प्राइवेट सिक्योरिटी गार्ड्स की भी जांच हो रही है।”
