Per the Haryana Institute of Public Administration, 60% of Delhi-NCR buildings cannot withstand an earthquake as powerful as Venezuela's, and Delhi's municipal corporation told the High Court that 80% of the city's buildings would be unsafe in a quake.

“हरियाणा इंस्टट्यूट ऑफ़ पब्लिक एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन के मुताबिक दिल्ली एनसीआर की 60% इमारतें वेनेजुएला जैसे ताकतवर भूकंप को सहन नहीं कर सकती... हाई कोर्ट में नगर निगम ने बताया था कि 80% इमारतें और घर भूकंप के दौरान सुरक्षित नहीं होंगे।”
